Hello, friends! I’m here today sharing my Christmas decor with all of you! This year, I’m calling it “A Cozy Colorful Christmas House Tour”. If there’s any our house evokes, I think it’s “cozy”. Friends tell me that often, and I’ll take it as a huge compliment. If you feel comfortable and at home, then I’ve succeeded in what I do with the house.
Living Room
I love the holidays. Thanksgiving is wonderful, but I think Christmas tops it. It’s the one time of year there’s a magical feeling in the air. Since I had kids 6 years ago, it became even more magical. Christmas with kids is so fun!
When I see Christmas through the eyes of a child, I see wonder, hope, excitement, joy, love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Maybe all of these things come through a child because the first Christmas came through a child.
Children see all the delights of the season as a new thing. Nothing is old and unwanted. Everything sparks curiosity and excitement.
They have hope in what will come with each new morning of the season. They dream of Santa Claus and presents, and plan to sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus.
Children forgive, no matter how many times you do them wrong or hurt their feelings. Isn’t that quite like Jesus? He never turns anyone away…He’ll be seen with anyone, He’ll forgive anyone, no matter what they’ve done.
Just like children, Jesus will accept anyone, no matter how they look, dress or smell. He loves and accepts everyone.
Dining Room
Maybe that’s why the Bible says we must become like little children if we want to see Heaven. (Matthew 18:3)
Christmas is so much more than presents and twinkling lights, though those things are beautiful.
It’s more than Hallmark movies and hot chocolate and wishing for snow, though I enjoy all of those things…just ask my husband who makes plenty fun of my cheesy Christmas movies (but I catch him watching too). 😉
It’s so much more than a fun song or a party….And I enjoy my fair share of those happy things.
Christmas is more than getting together with family to share a big meal and play games.
It’s more than making sure your decorations are “perfect”, though I love every minute of Christmas decorating.
It’s so much more than a card in the mail, or the bell ringer collecting money for the less fortunate.

Christmas is more than sweet candy and cookies for Santa….
Yes, friends, Christmas is more. Christmas is magical.
Christmas is about a star that led shepherds to a promise. Magical.
The promise of God coming to earth in the form of baby. Magical.
He came to change and heal lives and save our souls. Can it get any more magical than that?
