Most of you know we’ve been working on our kitchen since before we moved into our house. We gutted it entirely. It has definitely been a huge job! We ordered custom cabinets from Lowe’s back in March and they are STILL not complete. We’ve waited for months on parts to get here that were ordered wrong to begin with. Good news, though…we ran into the guy that does the installation and he is supposed to be at our house on Thursday to finish it all up. YAY!
We put a bar in the kitchen so we’d have more counter space and also not lose a breakfast area since we took the actual breakfast room out of the house. I really wanted the style with legs that make it look farmhouse/french/country (whatever you want to call it). If we were to order the legs and the connecting wood pieces, it would have cost around $2500! Randy said he could do it. And he did. He went to the hardware department and bought 4 legs that look like the ones we wanted and paid $20 a piece! The total cost after buying connecting wood and paint is only around $100. I’m so glad Randy knows how to do all this stuff!
So, here’s a few pictures of the bar before and after the legs. It’s not totally finished…Randy still has to actually paint and attach the legs, but you get the idea. I’ll post before and afters of the whole kitchen when it gets completely finished.
I think it turned out great! Now to find the perfect bar stools.
Well, that’s all for tonight! The hubby quit working early tonight (this is rare, so I’m going to enjoy it!) and he ran to the store to get me some caramel syrup and sea salt. I’ve been doing laundry and already in my Pj’s. We are going to relax and I’m going to make a salted caramel hot chocolate (watch out Starbucks!). Hopefully it turns out yummy!
Til the next time,

Love the legs on the bar!! We had to do the same thing on our house. I can't believe how much they want when you order them. Looks great!!
