I changed up our dining room table vignette last week and I’m really loving how it turned out! I wasn’t really satisfied with what was there because, to be honest, it never felt completely “put together” when I decorated the table in early spring. This is a completely different style than what I had in spring, and it’s just so pretty. I wish you could all see it in person!
I’m slowly changing the color scheme in our house, getting rid of a lot of red. I’m going with mints and blush and will most likely add another color in as well. This dining room table vignette reflects the color changes.
I wanted something that felt “earthy” this time; something to usher in those warm (who am I kidding?…MISERABLY HOT) days of summer. It took me a couple of days, but I think I achieved the look I was going for.
I really wanted succulents this time because they’re easy to care for…OH WAIT! Those are fake!! Seriously, I love how faux succulents can look so real! The only thing – I should probably add some dirt into the pots. Up close, you can see the gaps, but hey, who’s looking? 😉
I don’t know if any of you get giddy when you find something you absolutely LOVE, but that’s the way I am about these Anthropologie plates right now! I knew the minute I saw them, I needed them! HA. And what’s extra special – I got them on super sale! Win-win!! I got a few different prints and colors, so they all coordinate but don’t “match”.
I don’t know which plate I like the most. This rose and gold one is speaking to my new-found love for pink. Or what about the cool mint and gold in the plate pictured below?
The aqua-lover in me loves these striped plates as well.
I changed things up a little by mixing rose gold and chrome utensils. I love the rose gold set I purchased from Target. Because who says you can’t mix metals?
Adding in the different glass votives and candles really finished this table off nicely. The turquoise glass is from the new Opal House line at Target. I’m loving the Anthro vibes from the whole line!
Birchwood slices stacked on each other gave a small amount of height variation.
Is anyone else loving eucalyptus right now? It’s so pretty and really topped this runner off and made the table feel complete.
I hope you’re all enjoying your summer so far, and I hope you’ve found some inspiration in my dining room table vignette. I’m wondering who wants to come for dinner so someone other than the hubby and kids can enjoy the prettiness? Just let me know in plenty of time because that means I’ll actually have to cook. 🙂
Till the next time,
Kassie

I absolutely love the changes you made! It’s beautiful. It makes me want to do my own but unfortunately I have a little monkey in the house. So flowers on the table it is. It makes me look forward to doing the entire table when he get a tad older. Great job!

This is sooo pretty! I love the use of succulents because it really does give off this “heat of summer” vibe. Together with the greens and those plates, I’m obsessed! Mint, teal and blush are some of my favorite color schemes as well.
