I’m so excited that we have gotten some of our nursery furniture purchased! We bought it Saturday, and picked it up today. I was starting to think it was all going to pile up on us at once. We got a great deal on these pieces from Three Dog Books, a quirky little antique store downtown Wichita Falls. We’ve gotten several things from them and I decided to see if they had anything I’d be interested in for the nursery. I had a particular thing in mind and for once in my life, found exactly what I was looking for at a good price.
I wanted a changing table similar to this:
But guess what? This particular one is $1980.00 at Layla Grayce and an extra $363.00 for the changing tray! I couldn’t find this style for less than $1000.00. That’s just ridiculous, seriously. Especially when you have to buy two beds, two car seats, two of this and two of that….SO, this was not happening (trust me ladies, I’ve used the ‘ole “but this is the only time I’ll ever get to do this” plea). 😉 Here’s what I happily ended up with (and for a whopping $150.00!). It’s so pretty! Now I just have to get the changing tray for the top (and not the one above…ha!).
Here’s the chest of drawers that matched…and remember that nursery I told you is a nightmare right now? Yeeaaahhh….just ignore the background. We haven’t done a thing to this room yet and it’s sort of a catch-all for everything we’re working on at the moment.
The owner of Three Dog Books, Julie is really sweet and she threw in this matching table for free. We paid $300.00 for all three pieces. Can’t beat that! It may not stay in the nursery, but for free, who could refuse? OH- and no, we don’t know yet if we’re having boys or girls or both, but I figure this stuff can go either way-you just have to add the right colors and accessories.
Now for those antique-looking spindle cribs….sigh… 🙂
Til the next time,
Kassie

Love it! The table would be cute next to the rocking chair, imo. So happy for you!

That is a good idea about the table next to the rocking chair. I didn't realize we needed a table until he came and needed a place to put things when I was in the chair with Miles.(Like his bottle, breast pump, paci, ect..)
