I wanted to share our Lenox ornament tree branch tree with y’all today. I know you saw a couple of pictures of it yesterday on my Christmas house tour post, but I wanted to share the details.
When Randy and I got married, my aunt bought us a bride and groom Lenox ornament for our Christmas tree. I thought it was so pretty, and we decided after that we would buy a different one each year. My aunt has bought us a few since then, and we’ve collected some as well. Some years, we’ve bought more than one when they went on sale after Christmas.
For the last couple of years, I’ve talked about having a dedicated “Lenox Tree”. This year I was determined to make it happen. Let me tell you, every year until last year we’ve had a live tree in our house. Last year we bought a flocked tree from King of Christmas and it’s gorgeous! Fast forward to this year and Hubby wasn’t “buying” into the idea of another tree. So I searched for inexpensive trees on Facebook Market Place, but there was never any I really wanted to spend money on…even $30. Why buy a tree I don’t love? (Maybe next year) 😉
My determination was fierce, though, so I made the trek to the great outdoors (ahem…our backyard), and started picking up branches. We always have an abundance of them on the ground (thank you Texas wind). I lightly spray painted the branches white, then put them in some florists foam, and placed it all in a wooden crate. I wrapped the crate in a white tablecloth, then put “snow” over the cloth. And I had my tree! I then tied the ornaments randomly on the branches and added mini twinkle lights.
Is it the most beautiful tree? Probably not. But I actually love the “whimsical-ness” of it. And it cost me about $8.00!

The ornament that started it all:
The year we bought our first home together:
The year the twins were born:
And that year the twins were OBSESSED with all things “Frozen”:
I love the way the lights twinkle behind the dining table.
Maybe next year, I’ll get that other flocked tree, but the moral of this story is: Think outside the box and you can create something you love from nothing.
I found a few cute Lenox ornaments for y’all. All of these are on sale today, and most are originally $60.00! Check them out!
Pin for reference later….Sharing is caring! 🙂
Till the next time,
Kassie
