Hey friends! Happy first-day-of-Spring! Who’s in full-fledged, spring-mode decorating? Today, I’m sharing my spring flower vignette that’s set up in our dining room. There hasn’t been a whole lot of spring decorating around here yet, but it’s starting to happen, little-by-little!
This display first started out on my dining table, but I wasn’t loving it there, so I moved it to a small waterfall chest that’s sitting behind the table. The chest used to sit in our kitchen until recently. We gave our upright piano away and needed something to fill the empty gap in the dining room, so hubby moved this chest to the dining room. I don’t love the red color anymore, so it will probably get a fresh coat of paint in the near future, or I may even sell it.
I went into the “General Store”, aka the attic, and found that I already had most everything to make this vignette. It all started with this chalkboard, and my hand-lettering actually turned out somewhat the way I wanted it to. 🙂 Don’t you love it when that happens?
Sometimes, if you just start adding little things you find sitting around, you find out they make the nicest touches. This cute little antique cream pitcher came from a thrift store almost 8 years ago. We bought it to go with some of our wedding decor, and it’s perfect for holding these petite flowers.
I have never done a lot of decorating with faux flowers, as I’m really a fresh flower girl. This time, though, I wanted something that would last so I can leave this vignette set up for a while. These faux flowers from Hobby Lobby are the prettiest I could find, and I’m pretty pleased with them.
Now, the dining room table needs to be decorated, even if just a small touch of spring is added. I captured this photo a few nights ago as the sun was going down. It shines beautifully in our dining room this time of year as it’s going down, and I loved how the light was shining on these flowers I’d basically just thrown down as I was working on the spring flower vignette.
Do you decorate with faux flowers? I can buy wholesale and I have searched and searched, and never seem to find any I want to purchase, so I’d love to know where you find them!
Have a beautiful Tuesday, friends, and here’s hoping that this little spring flower vignette inspires you!
till the next time,
Kassie
