Hey friends, I’m back with another update some of you have seen on Instagram. But I love it so much it definitely deserves its time on the blog. I wanted to share our fireplace accent wall in Valspar Classic Teal paint.
After we completed the fireplace makeover, even though I loved what we had done, the wall felt a little blah to me. It had color prior to the re-do, and afterward was mostly white. White is pretty, but I thought it needed some “oomph”. And so the search began for the perfect paint color. I had it narrowed down to three colors: deep green, teal, or black. I literally had swatches on the wall for about 3 months before I decided! I mean, it’s just paint, but it’s a lot of work and I didn’t want to do something I’d hate! Well, in the meantime, we bought the teal chairs (see last post), so I decided to rule out the deep green. It could’ve worked, but not the look I was aiming for. In the end, I decided teal was the best option. We did this several months ago, and….
best decision ever!
I love, love, love the color! It totally added a little dramatic flair and warmed the space up.
Here’s a couple of before photo’s to remind you of how it looked after we updated the fireplace. (excuse these grainy iPhone pics I’ve copied from Instagram…)
Do you agree the room was a little “blah”?
Now take a look at some after photo’s with pizzaz! Color is such a wonderful thing!
